Wayne Collins went to visit a friend in Birmingham. During his visit the riots kicked off so Wayne went outside with his friend to follow the crowd.
Wayne didnt participate in any violence or looting. He merely walked around in the vacinity of the riots.
During the riots his friend's cousin produced a gun and fired on the police.
Wayne was at no time near the gun or gunman.
He was sentenced to 18 years for joint enterprise possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and violent disorder.
